POSITION:    Public Information Assistant IV           

GRADE:         60

BEGINNING SALARY:   $30,182

POSITION LOCATION: Camden County Department of Social Services

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Graduation from high school plus two years of clerical experience are required.  Knowledge of word processing, preferably Windows/Microsoft Works for Windows is desired.

PRIMARY DUTIES:  The position shares the front desk duties with the other person in this position.  The duties include but are not limited to greeting and assisting incoming persons, answering the switchboard, maintaining various logs, receiving incoming correspondence and information, efficiently keying  information in the state system, retrieve applications from the state system and submit to appropriate caseworker, data entry, filing, assessing and/or arranging persons for Medicaid transportation, completion of applicable paper work and maintaining  records associated with the Medicaid transportation program, shredding and any other duty as assigned by supervisor and/or Director.

WORK SCHEDULE:  Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime may occasionally be required.  In the event of a disaster, it is mandatory for the person in this position to assist with staffing a shelter.

Camden County residences to see a 15% reduction in their flood insurance premiums as part of the County's participation in the NFIP Community Rating System and receiving a CRS class 7 rating.

For Camden County citizens with NFIP flood insurance policies issued or renewed on or after May 1, 2017, will see a 15% discount in the premium cost of flood insurance as part of Camden's participation in the Community Rating System.
