Camden Public Library now has a Seed Library! It's free and all ages can participate. Stop by the library today and see how we can help you with your garden. Please note: Staff members are not garden experts; the library has plenty of self-help books for your gardening needs.
How to use the Seed Library:
Step 1: If you haven't tested your soil this season, take soil sampling information and visit the Cooperative Extension Center to take the next steps.
Step 2: Choose up to five seed packets from our selection. Only take what you can use.
Step 3: Fill out the "Seed Check Out" form and bring it to the circulation desk.
Step 4: Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on your chosen seeds for more information (this requires a Google account). If you'd prefer, library staff can print this information for you.
Step 5: Grow your plants! Take advantage of the library's collection of gardening books for help and inspiration.
Step 6: If you can, harvest and save the seeds from the plants you have grown, and donate some back to the library to replenish our collection.
