  • Library/Co-op Ext. Learn to Make Program

    Learn to Make: Chocolate Dipped Pretzels - Thursday, February 9th at 4pm!
     
    Please note: Registration is required for this program. Click here to register.
     
    Join us for an afternoon of fun and learning with Olivia Patchel from NC Cooperative Extension, as we learn how to make chocolate dipped pretzels! Dietary restrictions can easily be accommodated, so please make sure to note your child's particular needs within the registration form.
    There are only 12 spots available for this program, so you must register early! Any extra applicants will be put on a waiting list if someone cancels, and will be given priority registration for the next cooking program.
    This program is free and open to the public, and intended for children ages 5 to 10 years old. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the library at (252) 331-2543.

  • Co-op Ext. More In My Basket

    Helping senior citizens make more out of their dollars. Thursday, March 2nd at 10:00am at the Camden County Center for Active Adults. Please call the Camden County Co-op Ext. Office for more details.

  • Co-op Ext. Agriculture Meeting

    There will be a "V" training for pesticide applicators on Wednesday, March 8th, 10:00am - 12:00pm at the Camden County Public Library. Please call the Camden County Co-op Ext. for more details.

  • Co-op Ext. Camp Cale Days

    Come enjoy a trip out to Camp Cale complete with a cookout. There will be opportunity to fish, climb the rock wall, shoot archery and more!

    Ages: 8 - 16 (Students will be divided into older and younger groups upon arrival)

    Cost: Free (lunch provided; however, you may provided lunch if you prefer)

    The Northeast District 4-H Teen Retreat will be held at the Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia, NC. This event is open to youth ages 12-18. The cost is $125.

    Private Applicator Pesticide Training Opportunities

    We are pleased to announce three pesticide training opportunities. These trainings will take place on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the Camden County Public Library (118 NC Highway 343 North, Camden) in the Community Room. Times and credit hour availability are as follows:

  • Camden 4-H Meet and Greet

    Join the Club - What is 4-H? Meet and Greet

    Do you have a great idea for a new club? Have you ever wondered what 4-H is all about? Please plan to attend and meet our 4-H Agent and Club Leaders to find out what you've been missing!

  • The Artist in You Workshop

    Come join us and discover the artist in you! We will have a variety of art mediums for you to explore through painting, clay, colored pencils, ink stamps, etc. 

    Date: September 20th
    Time: 4:30-6:00 p.m.
    Place: Camden County Library
    Ages: 5-15

    Once you register online you have 8 business days to complete your 4HOnline registration. This is a FREE workshop, but we are limited to 12 spaces. Your spot is confirmed when the 4HOnline registration is approved and you receive a confirmation email stating you are signed up for the workshop.

  • Free Pesticide Disposal Day

    Do you have pesticides at your home or farm that you no longer need or use? If your answer is ‘yes,’ then you’ll be interested in the Camden County Pesticide Disposal Day. This event will allow you to safely dispose of old or unwanted pesticides at no cost.
