Library cards are blocked and further borrowing is restricted when someone owes over $5.00 in fines, or has overdue or lost library materials on their account.
Borrowing rights are reinstated when you reduce the amount of fines owed to below $5.00, and/or return overdue materials and/or pay for lost materials. The Camden County Libraries accept checks or cash for payment.
The library gladly accepts donations of “gently used” books that are clean, in good condition, and preferably less than 10 years old. Many used books are added to our collection or swapped out to replace well used copies of titles that we already own. We do not accept used textbooks, magazines, VHS tapes or items in unsellable condition. If you have a large number of books to donate, please call ahead as our storage space is limited. The library is unable to offer a tax value for any used books donated to us. We will provide you with a "Charitable Contribution Statement of Donation" form to be used as a receipt for your tax purposes. Items that are not added to the collection will be added to our on-going Friends of the Library Used Book Sale located in the library. Funds from the book sales are used to support Camden County Library's programs and collection.
You may donate a new book to the library in honor of or in memory of an individual. Please inform the staff of the name of the person so a plate can be added to the front of the book.
