Volunteers Needed for Cycle NC Rest Stations throughout
Camden County on Friday, April 25th!

Cycle NC -- Costal Ride is coming to Elizabeth City, April 25-27, 2025. More than #1,000 cyclists register for this event and ride throughout multiple counties experiencing beautiful countryside, parks, local businesses and interacting with locals.

Various loop routes are offered daily from 15 to 100 miles all starting and ending out of downtown Elizabeth City. On Friday, April 25th, the routes offered will meander through Camden and Currituck. Three rest stations will be located in Camden for cyclists to hydrate, refuel with snacks/fruit/PB sandwiches, utilize restrooms and chat with local volunteers. Cycle NC provides all of the supplies, port-a-johns, tents, etc. needed for each of the rest stations.

Camden's Rest Stations are:

  • Dismal Swamp State Park (US Hwy 17 North, South Mills)
  • Walker's Palms and Exotic Plants (178 Nosay Rd., South Mills)
  • South Camden Fire Department (114 Sawyer Creek Rd., Camden)

Volunteers are needed for each of the rest stations in Camden! Please see link below if you are interested in signing up as a volunteer. Each station offers two shifts (avg. 2.5 hour shift) and a variety of jobs like beverage server, making sandwiches, cut/serve fruit, serve snacks, and general duties. Cycle NC will provide additional details upon signing up and you'll receive a FREE t-shirt to wear for the event.
