    The Camden County Board of Commissioners will meet in the boardroom of the Camden Public Library on January 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM for its Regular Meeting.  The Board of Commissioners will also convene as the South Camden Water & Sewer District Board of Directors during the Regular Meeting.

Join artists Keith Norval and Anna Podris in creating a mural painting for the main library. This event is free and for adults and children of all ages and abilities. No registration is necessary.

    A new book club has arrived, celebrating all things mystery and thriller!
    Our inaugural discussion will be on the novel "The Dry" by Jane Harper. There are limited copies available to check out, ask at the circulation desk.
     
    The discussion will begin at 6:00 PM in the library meeting room, and should last about an hour. Please feel welcome to bring snacks if you'd like!

    Calling all those in the restaurant and food service industry!
     
    N.C. Cooperative Extension will be offering a ServSafe Food Safety Class in February. The class will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center (120 Community Way Barco NC 27917) and will begin promptly at 9 a.m. each day. ServSafe is a course designed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to provide foodservice operators, managers, and support personnel with the knowledge essential for food preparation and handling to help reduce the risk of foodborne illness. The course covers handling food, from receiving and storing to preparing and serving. It provides research-based information on how to run a safe establishment.
     
    The 14-hour class will be scheduled as follows:
    • Feb 26th Instruction Day 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Feb 27th Instruction Day 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Feb 28th Exam Day 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
     
    Test Registration cost is $125 (which includes the 7th edition book and exam sheet.)
     
    Registration fees are non-refundable but are transferable to another person.
