Wellness & Exercise

In an effort to promote moving more and wellness from now until February, the lights at the track behind Camden Intermediate School will be turned on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Pickleball Nights

  • Tuesdays, 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
  • Location: the Grandy Primary Gymnasium.
  • Intended for participants ages 40 & over. Do not bring children to the gym.

On May 16, 2006 the Camden County Board of Commissioners voted to create the county’s Parks and Recreation Department. The first director was hired in October 2006.

Since then, the department has been in the process of developing recreation programs, resources, special events and coordinating the expansion of Community Park. The expansion will include a walking trail, regulation high school track, picnic shelter, a playground and parking areas.

Mission Statement

The Camden County Parks and Recreation Department is committed to coordinating and providing a wide variety of healthy, wholesome activities as well as preserving and maintaining the county’s parks, facilities and open spaces.

Parks and Recreation Class Instructors Wanted

Do you have a talent that you would like to share with the county’s youth and adults? Share your craft, dance or artistic ability with others and turn your time and talent into extra money.
