The public is encouraged to limit non-essential in-person interaction with Camden County employees and departments when at all possible to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Citizens are encouraged to use any online services that may be available to communicating with Camden County employees via email or telephone.


  • Limit non-essential, in-person contact with employees and departments when at all possible. Employees should wear gloves when handling money or other paper documents.
  • Inspectors in office and staff should remain behind glass for conversation with contractors.
  • Inspectors should have masks available in field for inspections inside occupied houses and should maintain social distance when conversing with workers on site.
  • Plats and surveys needing approval and signatures should be left at front desk. Staff can meet in front lobby or outside keeping distance.


  • Permits may be applied for online by clicking here
    • Scroll down and find the appropriate permit type and click its link
    • Read the instructions on the page (permit requirements, supplemental documents required, etc)
    • Click the application link
      • Application link will take applicant to Cognito Forms 
      • Fill in form, select any appropriate selections (items with "*" are required)
      • Any items with "*" that are N/A, either select N/A or enter a 0, unknowns should enter 99999
      • If applicable, download and fill out Fill Permit, then scan form to digital format or take picture of both sides, upload back to system
      • Download and print "Affidavit of Signature" located at bottom of form, scan signed affidavit to digital format or take picture and upload back to system
      • Click Submit
      • Data will be transmitted to us for processing, you will be notified when permit is ready for pickup.
