  • 03:00pm  Friends of the Library Meeting

    The Friends of the Library meeting at 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

  • 07:00pm  Board of Commissioners - February 6, 2023

    The Camden County Board of Commissioners will meet in the boardroom of the Camden Public Library on February 6, 2023 at 7:00 PM for its Regular Meeting, with a Closed Session at 5:00 PM to discuss personnel, economic development and to consult with the County Attorney.  The Board of Commissioners will also convene as the South Camden Water & Sewer District Board of Directors during the Regular Meeting.

    All Regular Meetings are held in the boardroom of the Camden Public Library (118 Hwy 343 North), Camden County, North Carolina, 27921.  Special accommodations for the disabled who would like to attend public meetings can be made by contacting the Clerk to the Board at least 24 hours in advance at 252-338-6363.

    Baby Storytime

    This storytime is for ages birth to 2 years-old (Must be accompanied by a parent)

    • Free and open to the public. No registration is required. 

    Join us for Baby Storytime every Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

    We will be reading stories, sharing early literacy tips, and singing songs!

    There will be time for free play with the library's collection of baby toys at the end of each session.

    Join us to learn more about notable people of color during Black History Month! Each session will focus on one person in history, where we will learn about their life and create a craft that represents them! Storytime will take place on Tuesdays at 4:00pm on the following dates:
    • February 7th 
    • February 14th
    • February 21st
    • February 28th
    This program is free and open to the public, and is intended for children ages 5 and up.

    Join us for Toddler Storytime every Wednesday at 10:30 AM.
    We will be reading stories, sharing early literacy tips, singing songs and playing games!
    A small craft will be offered at the end of each storytime session.

    Join us for a science-based storytime featuring a livestream from ecoEXPLORE! This season, we will be talking about ornithology, or the study of birds, so come to the library to learn more about the birds in our area and how to safely observe and collect data from them.
    This program is free and intended for children ages 5 - 9. Become a citizen scientist by signing up today at ecoexplore.net!

    This storytime is for ages 4 to 6 years-old (Must be accompanied by a parent)

    • Free and open to the public. No registration is required.
    Join us for Big Kid Storytime every Tuesday at 10:30 AM.
    We will be reading stories, sharing early literacy tips, singing songs and playing games!
    There will be a small craft available at the end of each storytime session.
     

  • 04:00pm  Library/Co-op Ext. Learn to Make Program

    Learn to Make: Chocolate Dipped Pretzels - Thursday, February 9th at 4pm!
     
    Please note: Registration is required for this program. Click here to register.
     
    Join us for an afternoon of fun and learning with Olivia Patchel from NC Cooperative Extension, as we learn how to make chocolate dipped pretzels! Dietary restrictions can easily be accommodated, so please make sure to note your child's particular needs within the registration form.
    There are only 12 spots available for this program, so you must register early! Any extra applicants will be put on a waiting list if someone cancels, and will be given priority registration for the next cooking program.
    This program is free and open to the public, and intended for children ages 5 to 10 years old. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the library at (252) 331-2543.
